We loved Kingscliff. We had plenty to do within walking distance to the Main Street and beaches. The river too was a bonus. The park was great if you have children or just sit and enjoy the ocean view. People were very friendly and enjoyed the local Chiang Mai Thai restaurant. We also went to the Kingscliff hotel and local surf club. Picked up some bargains at the op shops.

Kingscliff is a lovely seaside town with almost a village feel, enough shops and restaurants and clubs for most, friendly people, a nice patrolled beach and the Cudgen creek if you don't like the surf. Close to Coolangatta and the Tweed if you need more people.

The proximity of facilities and shopping/restaurants right over the park from the hotel. Kingscliff is a lovely, relaxed beach village not harmed by high-rises and shopping malls. Great cafes, all the facilities you need with the benefit of a brilliant and not packed out beach.

It was disappointing to say the least. The whole complex is dirty and not well cared for. Parking is a nightmare, as our car just fitted into the parking garage provided. Key to garage door was useless, as it would not lock the garage door. The parking is so tight and directions to your room poor. On our key it said 014, so we looked for room 014 but it meant room 14. Whole complex requires a complete renovation. Not to have an apartment with Air-conditioning in peak summer holidays, made the stay unpleasant. We packed up and booked another accomm, which was clean, with aircon and free Wi-fi. We took photos of the filthy windows and screens, along with mirrors in rooms with hand prints on them and supplied shampoo bottles provided half to near empty in bathrooms. If I was Kingscliff accommodation staff, I would go and inspect the condition of these rooms as its substandard to what we have stayed in Kingscliff prior.

We've been to Salt heaps of times, either with the Mantra or Peppers. Over the last 25 or so years we've stayed at Peppers around 5 times and the Mantra twice. To be honest, we do prefer the Mantra as Peppers tends to be a bit cold when you're looking for your rooms. It's also bigger which is a surprise. Mantra has a small feel about it and the pool has a better vibe. Lifts are fast, heaps of games to use and absolutely no complaints there. I discovered a game told by my grandson which is Cornhole.. It's a brilliant game and can be hired from reception, along with table tennis, tennis, chess (the wee nyaff beat me again) and others. The receptionists are great with smiles on their dials.

Kingscliff is a lovely coastal town great little boutiques and cafes the beach is beautiful. Just make sure you get an accurate description of your accommodation because that's the thing that disappointed me about kingscliff
