Jinks Creek Winery is located on the edge of the Bunyip State Forest.
The cellar door is a recycled industrial woolshed overlooking Jinks Creek vineyard and the Black Snake Ranges. Shifted from another farm and re-established 10 years ago, the woolshed was built in the 1870's and is an amazing example of colonial Australian architecture.
The old stables house Abi Edwards Gallery, which displays monthly exhibitions by leading contemporary Australian artists, with a focus on emerging Gippsland artists.
All wine is made on site from original plantings in 1979, including Pinot Gris , Pinot Noir , Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Shiraz Merlot and Cabernet Franc are made on site from different parts of Victoria,selected by winemaker and viticulturalist Andrew Clarke, who trained in California and France in the early 1980's.
Lunch on Sundays includes wood fired pizzas, dips, flat bread, antipasto and cheese platters, Thorpdale fries, salads and homemade desserts, all utilizing Gippsland ingredients.
Surrounded by the vineyard and paddocks, children are welcome.
Horseriding lessons can be organised by arrangement.
