The ride is short, but the challenge is huge. The only Hors Cat?gorie climb in Australia, this access road is the steepest road cycle climb in the Southern Hemisphere and the second steepest in the world of cycling racing; second only to the Alpe d?Heuz of Le Tour de France fame. The steepest grade at Winch Corner is 20.6 percent.
