The Sydney Harbour cruise was amazing. We were able to get on and off at our leizure and there were plenty of boat times throughout the day. It was recommended that we go early to have enough time to see the Zoo. It was a very well kept and well designed zoo, too! I especially loved the indigenous animals, as well as the new tiger and elephant exhibits. Would definitely go again!

Good way to get to an see the Taronga Zoo on one ticket. Also great commentary from the Hop on cruise guide.

Views from the cable car and Zoo were pretty spectacular but not many animals to see. Lots seemed to be missing from their enclosures and many of the spectator areas were out of bounds. Didn't get to any of the keeper presentations as most of the exhibits only had one each day. The seal show only took place at weekends and holidays. The two day James Cook hop on hop off ticket was not good value. Very limited number of sailings compared to other operators made it impractical to "simply jump on and off as many stops as you like, when you're ready to move onto your next destination just catch the next boat". Furthermore, the sailings quoted on the website were incorrect and different timings applied each day

I wish I could leave zero stars. Between the two days the staff has stemmed from being simply unhelpful to outright rude - between telling us our tickets needed to be printed out and then leaving the dock as we were coming back down the gangway to leaving other porta before the scheduled times to unprofessional people working behind the counter. I understand they are on a timetable and deal with tourists all year so they have low tolerance for hiccups and need to stay on schedule but I have never been treated so poorly but a company that specializes in customer service in my life. Use another company. There are better options that wont take your money and treat you like dirt afterwards.

The Zoo is right across the harbor but the views were great from off shore. The zoo is very clean and many animals I have never seen before as well as birds. I did get turned around alot as the zoo makes the best use of space and there are many levels built into the hill it sits on. I kept bringing out the map and finding my way. They have some tiger cubs which I wanted to see but they were sleeping out of view and the only way to see them is to enter a one way path. I went back once I heard they were awake but the line was so long and there is no way to see them without going through the line, that was a bit frustrating. The animals and birds are definitely worth the trip.

The Taronga Zoo was one of the highlights of our family trip to Sydney. A must visit. You get ferry ride. You have an excellent view of the city.

I booked the zoo entry with two days of ferry, however buyer beware, the ferry pass for 48 hours are not the usual ferries but a circular ferry run by Manly Fast Ferries. I thought I would be able to use all the yellow and green ferries that go in and out of circular quay when I booked, but you can’t. Just the one that runs from Circular Quay to Manly via Taronga, Watson’s bay and Darling Harbour. The zoo itself is lovely, and the cable car is part of the zoo ticket. So in my view you would be better off booking the zoo ticket directly with the zoo website prior to departure, and catching the regular ferry service over and back. It runs more frequently.

An excellent way off getting around the harbour. The vessels are very clean and always on time. We enjoyed the zoo very much they have a strong ethos on conservation The exhibits allow you to get up close to the animals and the zoo keeper talks are very informative.
